Did You Know:

McAbee's engineering team has over 150 years of combined experience?

A McAbee modular project visualized using state of the art 3-D software. McAbee models all modular projects using high quality 3-D software such as AutoCAD, Rebis and 3D StudioMax for rendering and fly-through animation. McAbee also has isometric pipe, and CodeCalc software for vessel design. (CAD by David Grinstead/Monica Mize).

McAbee Construction offers a full service engineering department with over 150 years of combined experience and a P.E. on staff. McAbee uses state-of-the-art CAD software, such as AutoCAD 2000 and AutoPlant software by Rebis. Our Engineering Department also offers isometric pipe spool drawings made in Acorn software and our tank/vessel engineers use CodeCALC software, which allows 3D visualization of a tank.

McAbee also has the ability to produce completed drawings using your P&ID's.

McAbee also equips the Engineering department with high-end workstations. As of January, 2001, McAbee is using machines in the Gigahertz range for chip speeds and many have over 500MB of physical RAM. All computers within our Engineering Department are also connected using Novell networking software.

Occasionally, our engineers get a project that they really like to sink their teeth into... Our engineering staff was given "rough" plans (Hand sketched no less...) and were given the assignment to turn those rough sketches into a completed project. The drawings went from this rough design into a complete set of final drawings in a year. The entire project was finished in 16 months. If you'll view the image on our Home Page, you'll see the project- a 770 ton modular structure with 14 distinct sections.
